Privacy statement
How we collect and use your personal data (PDPO).
- What we collect: only your contact and (optional) nickname, and only when you post a request on the quote board. Browsing the comparison pages — and seeing a consultant’s contact — requires no personal data.
- Purpose: used solely to pass your enquiry to the relevant verified consultant for a follow-up quote. Never sold, never published or shared for any other purpose.
- Retention & security: readable only by platform staff, transmitted over an encrypted connection, and kept only for as long as needed to follow up.
- Your rights: under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance you may access, correct, or request deletion of your data. Email privacy@thedinosignal.com.
- Analytics: offer views and clicks are counted as one unique IP per day in Hong Kong time; only a salted hash of the IP is stored — never the raw IP address — and it is never used to identify you.
- The free mobile number reading is entertainment, and a thank-you for a quote request. Any number you type into it is read entirely on your own device: it is never uploaded, never stored, never becomes a quote record and is never passed to a consultant. Close the tab and it is gone.
- Cookies & analytics: this site uses Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand overall traffic and usage trends. Both load on every page but start in a “denied” state (Consent Mode v2) — before you accept they set no cookies and record no identifiable data, sending at most anonymous, cookieless aggregate signals; cookies and full analytics turn on only after you accept. You can change this choice anytime via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer, or reset it completely by clearing this site’s data in your browser. Data collected is processed by each provider under its own privacy policy.
- Cookies & marketing: we use Google Ads, the Meta Pixel, the TikTok Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag for ad measurement and remarketing. All default to denied and only activate once you grant marketing consent. Unlike the other vendors, the LinkedIn Insight Tag has no consent-revoke API — once it has loaded (after you opt in), withdrawing consent cannot programmatically remove the cookies it already set; the only complete remedy is clearing your browser’s site data.
